brewing again

After a several month hiatus from brewing Dan, Jeremy, Katie and I finally started a few more batches. The first is a pretty straight forward Scottish ale, which is a style I generally love. The second batch is the exciting one though; it's going to be a "crazy stout" with chocolate, coffee, and oats added to the recipe. Sadly, the stout will be a good 6 months before it will be properly aged and we can find out how we've done.

Most of the stout ingredients:

Dan doing something important... riiiight.

Jeremy waiting for the wort to cool to 75 degrees

Jer filtering; it's amazing how much nastiness was once infused in such a glorious beverage

A drop of the stout on the side of the fermenter... oh yeah, it's gonna be dark
